It was a perfect Waterton spring day. I was in Waterton doing some pictures and was heading to Cameron Lake when I bumped into a friend. I talked with him for a while then I decided instead of going to Cameron Lake that I would head back to the town site for something to eat.
Well I was more than happy that I did that. Not even the slightest wind and the water in Emerald Bay was crystal clear. Lunch had to wait for me to take a few pictures then I had to get out in the kayak to enjoy it. I have never seen the water in Waterton looking so clear. I have lived there and traveled there over and over and this was a first. In the kayak it was as if I was floating in the air as I paddled across the lake.
It turned out to be a good decision to go back to the town site, I got this amazing panoramic print of the Waterton town site looking down the lake to Glacier National Park in the US.
