Writing on Stone Black & White prints can be an amazing center piece for your home or office.
The park is located in Southern Alberta Canada. It does not have a lot of greenery even at the best time of the year. But when it is late fall, winter, or early spring it is a lot more brown than usual.
Off Season
Well many people do not visit the park in the off-season it is still a great time to go visit if you know what to expect. The services are all shut down. There’s still camping available without the services to go with it. PLUS there’s still a lot of amazing photo opportunities. Grab one of these prints so you can take the memory home.
Writing on Stone Black & White
In the off season, and even most of the year, I find that the park lends itself to Black and White images.
I was working on some lessons for my students on black and white photography the other day when I came across this image of Writing on Stone. It looks okay in color. Mostly Browns and grays.
But when converted to Black and White it comes to life. I did this image in two different ways.
The first was maintaining the gray tones of the picture. You can see more of the details of the shadows the rocks and the plants within the rocks.
The second print I eliminated much of the grays. I went for more contrast in the black and white print. Not only is there more contrast but the print also loos sharper.
This print would make a great addition to any home or business. Framed in a black frame or even a white frame it would become a centerpiece on any wall.
